Ola Tørudbakken has over 30 years of experience in distributed systems and high-performance networking across AI, HPC, enterprise, and telco sectors. As the current Director of AI Systems at Meta, he leads AI infrastructure initiatives. Previously, as SVP Systems at Graphcore, he led the development of their second-generation AI systems, including the IPU-POD scale-out solutions designed for next-generation deep learning workloads. Tørudbakken has held significant roles at Oracle and Sun Microsystems. He holds over 48 patents, has published several research papers, and specializes in AI, machine learning, system architecture, networking technologies, chip design, and cloud infrastructure.
