She has served as a Sub-Committee member of the Congressional Select Committee on Blockchain, Fintech and Digital Innovation, where she co-authored and helped pass over 40 laws on data ownership, digital assets, and blockchain technology.
Since 2019, Brittany has led the Own Your Data Foundation, training governments, corporates, and families in digital literacy. She also sits on the board of, or serves as an advisor to, numerous companies across industries, focusing on data ethics, strategy, and privacy protocols.
She is the best-selling author of Targeted, published globally by HarperCollins, and the main subject of the Netflix Original Documentary The Great Hack, which was nominated for an Emmy and a BAFTA, and shortlisted for an Oscar. Brittany holds an undergraduate degree and MA (with honours) in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the University of London Birkbeck College of Law, and an MPhil in International Law from Middlesex University
