Jeff leads the Open Source Practice at Fueled, where he leads a globally distributed team focused on strategy, shipping, and sustainability across WordPress core, Gutenberg, and dozens of open-source projects. His team focuses on three pillars of open source: contributing to community-owned open source (like WordPress core and Gutenberg), stewarding company-owned open source (like ClassifAI and Distributor), and building, shipping, and maintaining open-source projects on behalf of clients.
Jeff began leading major WordPress releases with 4.7 and has remained active through 6.8. Lately, he’s focused on advancing WordPress’s approach to AI, from provider-agnostic abstractions to practical, user-facing tools.
Before Fueled (and before 10up), he held product, engineering, and leadership roles at GE, NBC, and Comcast. Outside of work, he’s a dad of five, a youth sports coach, and a long-suffering Baltimore Orioles fan. He believes in the Oxford comma, says GIF with a hard G, and still waves goodbye on video calls.
